Thank you Andy. The shot was not planned. It took me by surprise... As I broke a small bone in my foot, I am not very mobile, unfortunately. I saw the moon peeking out and I just had time to deploy my tripod and I took this picture from my balcony (one more!)great shot Morexp57, very intriguing and thought provoking. I love it.

I suppose it depends on the sensitivity and aperture. But why 1/250 s? The moon doesn't move that fast! I simply set the shutter speed by looking at my monitor so that the moon was well exposed and looked like the real thing.
Yes, I did notice it as I was feverishly preparing my tripod! But I think 1/250 as a speed is a bit exaggerated.but the moon is not as slow as you think!
Speed 1/125 s will be the limit!For moon shots I usually use 1/250, f/5.6, ISO 200 which usually works for my set up.
Any slower than 1/250th I seem to get an elongated moon.
