Driving through the countryside here in Thailand, I came across this wonderful view of a small river leading into the Mekong River. As it is rainy season the river is orange in colour due to the mud being washed away, but I thought it would make a nice B&W image. What do you think?

Yes
I think the choice of black and white is an excellent idea.
The detail in the foliage is just perfect. I really like the dramatic sky. It too seems to be flowing in the same direction as the river. Did you use a slower shutter speed to get that effect on the clouds?

Thanks Morexp57,
I used a slight radial blur in Photoshop for the sky. I actually took a few images of this scene and blended them together using the median blend mode within a smart object. This smoothed out the water but it did not produce the desired effect on the sky, so I just used a single image and photoshopped the sky.
I did not have my tripod handy, so a long exposure was not feasible neither.
