A bit of manual topic on forum.

What's your relationship with money ? I know it's a bit delicate topic, everyone has own budget and income. But I thought will be fun to talk.

Personally, I do make my budget accordingly to my income. Luckily, I don't smoke, drink or going out. However, I had other expenses, like photography equipment and my forums , some of you already have noticed that.

Sadly, I don't really have a lot of time to have fun with everything I have, I wish I was a kid now, but with everything I have now :)

How about we need a new reality? Other than that as a pensioner life is tough for anyone at the moment. I, like most have to be careful on what I spend, as I have no new money coming in. We have reduced our heating down to 16.5c from 18c. We have turned off several radiators to consume less heating oil. If I now say to my wife I would like a new lens, I get the third degree as our electric bill in 2 years has jumped from £38 a month to now £100 a month! Go figure! Makes my blood boil that we are in this state, when I know we DO NOT HAVE TO BE WHERE WE ARE TODAY!
Other than that we cope. Not sure how you cope Jack as a younger person with mortgage etc? Do you have kids? Besides your inner world of course 🫣 ❓Hey even I like my inner child now and then, by playing computer games. It's purely for therapeutic reasons of course, as it distracts me from my chronic pain, and apparently its good for us oldies as it helps against dementia. Now who are you, and what did you ask?

Thanks for your reply lightmuncher lightmuncher . At the moment is only me and my girlfriend, we are still renting. We were thinking about mortgage, but no chance with current interest rate. We've done some calculations, we ended up that we are paying for 2 houses at the end of mortgage.

At the moment, I'm learning about money, banking system and currency. And to be honest I've learnt a lot of interesting things, such as current money not backed by anything, and government can print as much money as they like.

We want to have a child, but I'm the person that thinks about financial stability, and always trying to do new qualification, trying something new. We don't use much energy too. Maybe 1h all day, we are paying around £100 a month for that. Life is expensive at the moment, I'm glad that I managed to purchase the equipment what I'm having now, but I think once we will have a child, that's it, no more lenses or camera investments. 😅

Children are a drain on the finances, but they are also one of the best things you will have in your life. Unless you have a son like me, then you tear your hair out! 🤯 I have been a single parent for 5 years in the late 80's and into the 90's; back then the interest rate were 14%! So my mortgage payouts were horrendous! Although, life back then didn't have all the extras we have now, like mobile phone contracts, broadband contract plus other costs. And we could get a 99% mortgages. I think today is more stressful than back then. I would not like to be young now and in the position of do we don't we have a child, and struggling to get a mortgage. Also, there is more job insecurity these days.
The only way all this madness will stop is when the human race puts down their tools and says, enough is enough. But, I doubt that will happen as the social engineered mind set is so well entrenched in people's psyche. Fear porn is always the key to keeping peoples minds set on not standing up and protesting against a corrupt worldwide system.
I did an OU degree in psychology, and my wife has a degree in sociology, between her magnificent mind and my re-education back in the 90's that opened my mind to reassess the worlds narrative. As I read all the books, it allowed questioned my own world, and how we as a collective could turn the world to be a very different place. Sadly, there are force at work, that wants humanity submissive, and sadly its working. Freedom of speech is being removed. This is being done quite openly as the right to protest is being squashed here in the UK! The internet has already put the brakes on peoples narratives that differ from the industrial military complex. This complex tells governments what to say under the guise of we are the professionals, we know better and you will make this statement. Any other narrative is wrong. I have seen professional open statements that do just that; banned!
Money is a larger subject than just the cash in your bank. The world runs on its lies and manipulations. Its corrupted the world, in a very sinister way. The only currency I believe in is the currency of the soul, our true spiritual path. That isn't through religion by the way, it is simply to acknowledge who we really are. The world we live in at present is effed up, crazy and not a path we should keep going down. And Jack, it doesn't matter if AI knows your movements or not through the internet, it does it in other ways. It does it through surveillance cameras, your phones, your iPad, and especially if you something like Alexa in your house! I can't be guided by the fear of AI, as I will always speak my truth. And, I am always open to hear an others' counterargument, as a debate is always healthy; so long as others respect you and vice versa.

Thanks for such a long reply lightmuncher lightmuncher . Firstly, I don't know how was 50 years ago, for everyone the situation was different.

Now, seems it's really difficult, especially the system that puts so much stress on you. I would agree, there is no job security at the moment, in last 6 months, I have changed around 7-8 jobs, as I'm working as a self employed through agency.

I like the freedom of self employed, but also is a big stress. The whole January I was at home without work, and obviously you have to pay bills, no matter if you work or no.

All the money in the world, are just fiat money, not backed by anything. I'm considering to start investing in physical gold, as it could give a bit of stability in the future (hopefully), and also the government can't print gold, is limited from nature.

Luckily I don't have an alexa at home, however the government can track everything what you are doing on Internet.

Not sure about gold. I hear it a lot, but if the system crashes, which I am guessing it will, how do you spend it?
As you stated, money is a corrupt system, and it can't continue on its present path as it is. All I have heard is that there could be a social credit system being rolled out in the near future. And, funny enough, the Chinese have a social credit system. All run by AI. The has to be a revolution, one that tears the reality down. Good talk, and I hope the universe keeps offering the gifts of wealth and health to you. And of course all the world. It certainly needs a better, compassionate mind set.

At least you have something to spend, if money is crashing you end up with just worthless paper.

It's definitely something happens now, we just don't know when and what will happen. The monetary system may crash. I was looking at this crypto coins, but these are based on speculations, and It's a really high risk investment too. Properties are a good investment if you have cash for that, but most of us are struggling to pay bills.

I watched this guy on YouTube who teach about the economy and Monetary System, and he says really interesting things. I've learnt a lot of things which I didn't know.

Thanks will listen later. It looks interesting. Just listen to Russel Brand on Rumble. I am really surprised how this man has such a grasp on language. Also he has an ability to dissect the world around us that the main media would not touch. Which is why he doesn't do all of his shows on Youtube. Yes he is a madman, but he does really do his journalism.
