This was taken here in Lincolnshire. WW2 has left its scares in this area, as there are loads of WW2 runways, now abandoned, or part of a museum. This old runway, near Metheringham, is a large country road. When we lived just down the road from there, it attracted youngsters who thought it was a racetrack! I saw this left over sign and tried different ways to make the image work. So made it a road scape.

I don't consider it a boring image.
For me, one of the goals of a photographer is to make an image of something boring or very common interesting. And I think you have succeeded well with this picture.
