This is about 500 meters from were i live. I walk here twice a day with my dog Pixie (Belgian Malinois, she is 12). It is called the Brunssummerheide, Brunssum is the name of the city and heide means heather.

From the image TMG1961, it looks like you walk many miles every day.. good for you and it looks like a superb place for the dog.. I am sure my hound would love it there.
Great variety of colours on show and an interesting path through it all.

I walk about 5 miles there every day, used to be about 8-9 miles but pixie is almost 13 and the very long afternoon walks are now cut in half. Dogs need to be kept on a leash except for 2 smaller areas where they can run free. the part you see is not one of them but Pixie walks there free all the time.
