I have this Tailorbird visiting my garden every day, but it is fast, shy and elusive when I have my camera out. I will persevere to get some better shots soon, but would appreciate your thoughts, comments & critique on these.
Canon R5, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 II, & 2x converter, shot at 400mm, f/5.6, 1/1000s

Think the second shot is the best of the three, sharp around the eye and a good action pose.

Personally, I'd leave the converter off and get a sharper image. I realise you'll lose distance and that may be why you're using it but a crop of a better image will give you a better end product. If the bird is a regular visitor, observe its habits and use camouflage or other means to close the distance slightly. Patience is a key too if time permits. I do realise that not everyone has time to devote to getting their pictures.
