First Sunlight

A simple composition kept as minimal as possible. Taken on an isolated Khalkidhiki Beach. It was very early in the morning and the sun was just starting to rise. The light rays were falling nicely on the rocks from the side creating nice textures and contrast.

I prefer this to the other one actually panos_adgr,
I think because of the very minimal background and the larger rocks in the foreground, which have great detail.
I love the misty swirl at the furthest rocks away in the centre of the image, and I love the straight horizon with wonderful contrast between the sea and the sky. I also like the light on the rocks from the sun coming in from the right side, it adds a lovely warmth and interesting shadows.
The rocks keep my attention because of the different details to be seen in each separate rock, and the blue/orange colors work well together.
Very nicely done.
