I like this image for its simplicity and almost cartoon like blocks of colour, although they all subtly change. Taken in harsh sunlight at lunchtime in N W France so no golden hour. I have emphasised in pp the foreground "S" curve produced by breaking surf leading the eye into the beautifully coloured water and the offshore island and boat. Normally I wouldn't expect much from light like this but mid day light can work with seascapes as it penetrates deeper allowing the underlying colours to show through. It requires clear water however but their are many areas where this is the case. Lovers of David Hockney might get the title. Ken
