Had a trip away to the Isle of Skye running a photography workshop.
The morning was a sunrise shoot at Loch Dunvegan, the light was gorgeous. Here's a shot of Beinn na Creiche.

Beautiful scene, and the light does look fabulous.
Only a small one, but I find I am distracted slightly from the choppiness of the ocean and can't help wondering what it would look like smoothed out from a long exposure

Oh I definitely agree, was super difficult to do a long exposure as the light was blasting its head off! Even at f16, I was only managing a shutter of 1/6 and that was still too fast due to the wind making the water more choppy.

I wanted that smooth water too!

Very peace inducing composition, I don't know but maybe exposing for the middle ground would have ameliorated the choppy sea? (I like the choppy sea by the way, not a big fan of "smoothed" water)
