Fantastic! I had no idea you can do this on a compact camera, very nice low light performance on that RX100. Probably some of the best southern sky astro locations, dark skies. Awesome spot to shoot some astro, I would love to shoot anywhere near Atacama, thanks for sharing and I hope to see more

This is a panorama of 4 vertical frames, each frame is a stack of 4 images to reduce noise. The RX100 is surprisingly good for astro.
