Hi guys. Apologies for my inactivity, had some health issues.

Did you ever had panic attacks?

Lately I started to have some panic attacks, and not feeling well. And I know this community is for photography.

Hello dear friend Jack! Firstly i wish you quick recovery!

Panic attacks in modern societies is something almost ordinary for a huge amount of people. Many of us have been through this situation. Sometimes there a lot of small things inside us that stress us. Even small things. But there are periods when all these small things seemingly unimlortand, sum up and create a largevl sum of stress that is breaks out in the form of panic attacks.
It is a phase and it will go away. I do not know about your personal life or problems but trybto be as calm as you can. Our health is above all
Try to have some good rest and do nice and creative things that you like and relax you.

Thanks a lot panos_adgr for your reply here. I do agree health is above everything. I've been to the Emergency 1 night ago, I thought I will have a heart attack, and they checked and everything was OK. Most likely because of stress.

Sometimes I'm over thinking, and and have this panic attacks that I will die or thoughts like this. I never had these before.

Hi Jack, sorry to hear about your health issues. Panic attacks are quite common these days, i never get them but I have friends thats suffer from anxiety attacks.
It's all about taking time out from hectic schedules, and getting away from the stress of life. I go for daily bicycle rides which helps me forget any issues I have for a while, or just walking around the fields with my camera helps me relax.
When I was in Dubai working, I used to go for a long walk after work every single day, to unwind and relax. If things got too hectic I also used to walk around the office building a few times during lunch, watching the clouds and birds to help me chill out a bit.
Not much help I know, but get yourself outside with your camera every day for a short time, you will find this relaxing and calming.

The first thing you need is to relax and do not overthink of this situation. Seek some advice from an expert as well. I did also.
I was advised then, to spent some nice time with friends, go out, and spent some creative time with things i like.

It will go away. No need to worry.

Good advice and understanding from all of you. ❤️ And I am sorry Jack as I know where you are intimately due to having mental health problems over the years. To the point sadly of wanting not to be on this planet any more. My wife also gets stressed and has panic attacks quite a lot as well. It's a mechanism within the mind that feels it's on overload (yeah, I know that sounds obvious), the world is just too much and balance is out of kilter. Meditation, Tai Chi are two good ways to help balance the mind, that inner world can be helped by these two methods. Loads of material out there for having both methods to help you. Even the practice of martial arts can be a good healer. Me? I love to get on my Triumph tiger and have an hour out on the roads, which distracts my mind from chronic pains and stress. Daily meditation helps as well. Keeping the mind still is an art in its self, which is why breath is the key to quietening that inner world. What ever method helps you to divert that overload, do it.
Last thing, who do you open up to? Who is your listener? Don't reply to those questions, they are just pointers; as a hug and understanding can also help.

I was OK lately, no panic attacks. My girlfriend said to me that is everything is my head.


Most of the time I'm worries about things that I can't control, example health is the most I'm thinking about.

Didn't had much time to go out. An other thing is, is probably I'm taking too many projects, and want to do so many things in life, and always worry that I won't achieve anything in this life.

Yes, Tia Chi is an excellent meditation with movement. Your concentration is breath along with movement. Here is a search I did for beginners on YouTube. Tai Chi for beginners - You could try Yoga too, but I hate the lotus position, my legs don't bend easily 🤪 🧘‍♂️
With all these ideas, you just start slowly, just 10 minutes, then expand to what ever suites your daily routine. You can always find a corner to meditate, or what I used to do is sit in my car at lunch, just anything to get out of the office.

Yoga is for everyone. Meditation is difficult if you can't empty your head, just make sure you are in a quiet safe place of course. So when you start, your mind will chase stories, events and problems; so do two things, breath in deeply and slowly three times, plus close your eyes of course. Concentrate on a white spot with a black background, and feel your breath go to normal. Feel the breath in and out, but as soon as you feel that you are on a story mode, bring your mind back to that white spot. You need to train your mind to not follow down that rabbit hole. When you get use to it, your mind will just be on the breath. Which is why Tai Chi is good, as your mind is on breath and movement, and this means you don't follow your stories down rabbit holes as easily. Find out what suites you, and put 10 minutes aside in the morning and if poss in the evening as well.

I consider that I meditate when I am in nature with my camera. Sitting at the foot of a tree after hugging it is very effective for me.
