This was my attempt at doing a stacked milkyway shot using Sequator, from Bell's beach Victoria, Australia :

I've never tried star photography and I want it so much. The Hot pixels though are a pain....

The milky way looks great, very nice edit. You did well with the old Tamron. Nice colours. That was a nice spot to shoot from. We both messed up our dark frames by changing our settings and now we can't use them to get rid of the hot pixels which are made worst as it was a hot, middle of summer nightshoot. Send me the file and I can clean it up or if you want to try it yourself look up the dust & scratches filter in Photoshop, something like this.
