Taken during a walk in the Galloway Forest in SW Scotland. I look on a map, find a likely valley with a stream and tightly packed contours and go looking for waterfalls. If I am lucky I find a nice one that is easy to photograph. Sometimes the falls are deep within an inaccessible chasm, or inaccessible to this pensioner. Even if I don't get a decent image I always get a decent bit of exercise. As usual I take moving water images with wide variety of shutter speeds and blend what I feel are the best bits together. Your waterfall shots are inspirational ken, this is a lovely image again, with great lighting, composition and exposure. The detail in the rocks is awesome and draws attention to the water.
Just a lovely shot and very nicely done..

Andy this is an example of moving backwards and zooming in thus making the waterfall look larger relative to the foreground. I would have liked to go further back but the stream was dropping down making the foreground rocks and water higher in the frame and starting to cut out the splash pool and the bottom of the falls. This is also a merger of images at different shutter speeds with different parts masked together. Ken

Yes
I've just started doing focus stacking. I hadn't thought about the other stacking possibilities. Thanks for the idea, I'll give it a try when I get the chance. That will probably be this Monday as I'm planning a walk through some gorges that look very promising.

And congratulations for this beautiful wedding dress!
