Urban Sunrise

(Location; Greece, Piraeus, Akti Dilaveri)

On weekends I like to wake up early and drive around my city to find nice urban images.
I prefer sunrise because the city is calm, peaceful and quiet. Especially because it is weekend.
So I have the chance to move easily and explore places and 'corners'.
The light also is amazing.
So today in the morning I took my car and drove around. I stopped on the side of the road and captured this image. Below and left is a building which I have explored in the past and took some really great pictures. It was supposed to be a spiritual center and was built many decades ago, but never finished.
The interior architecture of this building is amazing and although it is simple with straight lines and minimalistic (kinda Bauhaus), when the light enters inside it creates charming and amazing shadows.

Some photos of the interior taken in March 2019 some minutes after sunrise.

All with my first Nikon D7200 and a cheap kit lens Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G VR 2
All of the photos except the last (B&W) are HDR Images made out of 3 bracketed shots each one of 0EV, -2EV, +2EV and merged in photomatix pro. The first one is a re-edit of 2022 in ACR.

Yes
Wow!
I like very much these interiors. There is a super use of the light ! It’s not so easy, I try also to catch some beautiful light, but mainly in the forest. It’s a great serie!

Hello dear Morexp57 Morexp57 and thank you for your words! The time I visited the place was ideal because the sun was low and light was entering the interior. The play of light was great at that moment. What I have concluded is that early in the morning and before sunrise are the best times for photographing.

Wonderful panos_adgr, I particularly like the B&W shot and can't help wondering what they would all look like in B&W as a complete set.
Very nice and it must have been wonderful to be there at that time of day.

Thank you Andy! They do look very very good in B&W. I have edited them in both versions.

Have a look here on my Flickr account. I've put a link of the album.
