I have a Dell Latitude 7470 for work, and a mini PC Intel NUC which I use for processing photos.
I use three monitors, the biggest one is wired to both computers and I enable one or the other depending on what I am doing in that moment. A single keyboard and mouse shared by both by means of an application called Synergy.

I use a custom build with a Fractal Design Define R5 case, 32 GB DDR4 2666Mhz RAM, Intel Core i7 8700K 3.7 GHz 12MB CPU and a whole bunch of hard drives. Oh, and a Radeon RX 580 GPU that I bought used. I“ve had the PC for 4 years now, still running smoothly. I also have an old HP laptop that I leave outside by the mount when doing astro photography.

I use a 2020 MacBook Pro with 32GB Ram and a 2015, 27 inch iMac with 28GB Ram, both suit my needs perfectly.

I'm sure you have issues when editing 4k or 5k videos on that high specs PC.

I know Mac products are very expensive. Don't think I would be able to afford one.

Well, I change PCs maybe once every 10 years, so it's got to be at least half fast. But this was by no means a top of the line PC when I bought it. Cost maybe 1500 euros.

When I bought my laptop, I paid around £1400 at the time. Just for an laptop. But I need to think about proper PC.
