Nice shot RHL109, It's been years since I was there and it doesn't seem to have changed much from what I remember.
I am unsure if you have changed the sky, but there seems to be a purple fringing around the gutters and drainpipes. (Not sure if this is chromatic aberration)
This purple fringing is distracting though as once seen it cannot be unseen. It can easily be removed in post I think.
Probably just clean up a little of the white (look like cigarette butts) dirt on the footpath, but other than those two things I have no real critique as I like the photo detail and composition.

I agree with Andy with his assessment. Here is another point of view, you shot at 1/160 at f3.6 and a low ISO. Why such a low low low f stop? To enhance the image a higher f stop to increase focal length and definition would have been better implemented. There is a lot of unnecessary noise, and loss of sharpness. High dynamic range is fine, and it worked well on these types of image, where light and shade are at odds with each other. The construct of framing a story and information is great. I am not sure as yet what your level of knowledge is? My guess is, that you tried to enhance the shadows with the strong, beautiful light shining through the passage ways on this one image. I didn't see any information in regard to shooting three or more images for enhancement for HDR? Censors these days are better than they used to be, but I try to always as a matter of principle shoot three or more images when I get this amount of differential light sources. Do you shoot RAW or JPG? Do you shoot manual, or do you use the A,S,P settings? I will look at the other work, I just saw this one. Loved the image I saw, but I hope it helps. Critique is critique I guess but we all see things from different angles.
Sorry, this is very different from Andy, and it's not destroying you. It's a beautiful composition, which I would be proud of. The cigarettes and other litter I think is part of the story, but that is the subjectiveness of this art form.

Thanks for you input good or bad we all need to take note, its "not" a HDR image but a single image edited in PS but thanks for your comment Jpeg.

HDR doesn't now have to be a multitude of images. All HDR means is 'HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE'. That means that the lighter tones/contrast are more visible than the lower dynamic range, which are mostly removed, giving that effect of a painted semi cartoon image. There are many different software programs now can emulate HDR from a single image. Hope this helps, as I said I love the story and its structured framing of the street, the buildings and the people walking through it.

No you mentioned "didn't see any information in regard to shooting three or more images for enhancement for HDR" just letting you know its one image.
