Hello I’m new to the group I have been in photography since 1982 where I started out on the photography team for my high school year book learned about dark room development til I graduated in 1984 i just kept going from there I do mainly surf photography an family summer shoots on the beaches here in Nc I also do wildlife from time to time I’m also a drone pilot since 2013 when Dji released the 1st phantom series I was hooked from the different angles you can get - I always have my bag of tricks in my truck when I leave my house just in case I see something to shoot at - here’s a picture of my tools I use

My beast is the inspire 1 with the zenmuse x3 an x5 with a 15mm 12-42mm an a 45mm lens this is my cinematic drone it’s made for movie a commercial use if you want butter smooth footage it’s kind of funny when I pull that out most people pack up there lil drones - I do have some production I have done with her other is my mavic pro 2 I don’t need anything else from a drone with this one either

I own 3 drones myself. But here in UK this drone market is not as big as in US. Sadly never had any commercial jobs.

I have a 5D mark iii I use on my photo shoots with a 70-200 usm ii or a 28-135 prime lens and I use my 6D mark ii with a 100-400 usm for surfing photos an just all around travel body - that was shot with my 6D

That's great shot. I own the same lens 70-200 II L, now very rarely I use it. But planning to upgrade my 7D M2 at some point.

I guess you do landscape photography as well ?

yea I do a lil of it all I like shooting the sunrise an sunsets here - here’s one in the books I got on a golden hour of a waterspout touching the ocean

7D m2 is a nice body I don’t ever think I will go over to the R mirrorless I really like my 6D m2 I got it for a great deal but I use my 100-400 more then any other lens I own I just like having that extra reach

Thanks. I want to upgrade my camera to R6 M2. Mostly for videos, and maybe in the future to get telephoto lens, RF 100-600. But not planning to sell my 7D M2., has only 30k images on shutter. The like cycle is 200k if I am not wrong.

But with a R body then I have to buy all new lens cause the EF to R the focus is slow on a EF lens

I spoke to some photographers, and they said the performance won't be affected. To be honest I won't sell any of my EF lenses. Purchased them brand new. Mint condition.
