Mac's are not too dissimilar to windows now price wise with the introduction of the mac M1 & M2 chips, and as far as my experience goes they are a lot more user friendly, but each of us has our own preferences.
As for software, since the update to masking in Lightroom a few months back, I find my workflow has drastically changed and most of my editing is done in Lightroom, with just final flourishes and drastic clean ups done in Photoshop.
I purchased a 10TB external HDD, which i solely use for photo's, importing all into my Lightroom catalogue now and organizing my folders from within Lightroom.
I find this easier now, and very intuitive for my workflow.

There have been many times that I've thought of buying a Mac. But they are so expensive.... Their displays are so top!

With Apple products, you pay more for brand in my honest opinion.

Yes, I agree, Apple products are expensive. They probably abuse their reputation for quality. But their products are really good quality.

I use Capture One Pro, and PS, on Macs.

I grew up with Macs since they were first introduced to the UK (my dad worked at an Apple Reseller) so grew up with all the original models (I've kept a Color Classic for old times sake!) from SE, Plus, Quadras, LCs, Performas, Powerbook, Newton (remember that?), Mac Pro. Now as I am always on the road (usually in the region of 230-250 nights away from home a year but the highest was 290) I use a MacBook Air for light weight.

Software wise when I got back into photography after a break in 2010 I was selling supercars, and doing a lot of photoshoots with car magazines and their staff and freelance photographers. They were all using C1 and I got a copy and it just worked how I expected. I tried Lightroom but could never get on with it. Recently I subscribed to PS and thought I'd give LR another try as it comes free with PS, I acknowledge it's good but I still couldn't get on with it so ended up upgrading my old copy of C1 to their subscription. The newest C1 is so very good I do very little in PS, dust spotting, and tiny bits of pixel level editing, but a good 95-98% of my editing is done in C1, and my final metadata and export is done through C1.

C1 does a good job of handling the DNG files my Sigma DP0 Quattro spits out too, which is good as not all software plays nicely with them.

Are you talking about Capture Pro 1? I like Adobe Lightroom, but honestly, I'm not using much PS.
