How many cameras do you have in your backpack ? Would you say having 2 cameras with you all the time is good practice?

Hello dear friend Jack!
When I go on a roadtrip for landscape photography I keep always two camera bodies in my backpack. Sometimes I have a third one in the car.
The only case I take one with me is when I go out for urban landscape photography or street photos.

Generally I own 4 dslr bodies plus some film cameras which I use sometimes.

I carry 2 cameras mostly because one is highly possible to be used for long exposure photography (most of the cases it is my main camera) and I want to have a 2nd body because I do not want to miss any shot. Especially during sunset or sunrise when light changes in a few seconds or minutes I want to be ready for the moment.

You have some gear there. 4 cameras is impressive.

How long your main camera can keep the shutter opened ?

I forgot when last time I’ve done long exposure images.

The longest time the shutter can be set open through Auto programs (AV / TV / P) is 30'' and then Bulb.
I also have an IR control for D750 and D610 as well as a cable remote for my D850s. So I can adjust the long exposure as desired.

Jack I haven't made any long exposures for sometime now....

Seems all cameras are the same when comes to long exposure 30 seconds. As I have the same on my cameras too.

I guess you are taking quick snaps most of the times?

It depends where am I and what I shot.

I do long exposures a lot but mostly snaps.

Like I do. 😆

Most of the times only quick snaps, these can be done by a phone.

Hi Vas (Jack) Vas (Jack)!
I have only one body because I've always sold the old body when buying the new one...

What camera do you own now ?

I still have 2, looking to get R6 M2 at some point.

That’s really good camera. Do you always sell your camera before upgrading
Untel now, yes. But I will maybe consider to keep the Z7 II if I buy a new one. But at the moment, I don't feel the GAS...
(Gear Acquisition syndrom...):)

I think I have that syndrome :D. Love getting new gear, I need to stop buying stuff that I don't need. It's feels nice when you have the latest gear :D.
To be honest, I need to upgrade my old 7D M2, but don't think I will sell it. Still good camera.

All cropped sensor or micro 4/3.

May I ask why you haven’t got a full frame body camera ? I know most people tend to get full frame cameras.
