Yes, had issues couple of times, returned the item and got money back. In worst scenario you can claim money back through PayPal which I also done.

I also sold some items on eBay as well.

So you as a buyer, you're protected from fraud. But still pay attention.
I think i will stick to buying from shops, you get a 1 year warranty on used camera gear and 2 years on new camera gear. And from what i saw from the prizes on ebay, not cheaper then in the shops here.

Thats the advantage buying brand new or from the shop. You get warranty. Most of the time you don’t use it.

If i spent a few hundred euro on a lens or camera i like to have the warranty even if i don't have to use it.

I know what you are saying, just in case something goes wrong, you have a back up. To be honest from all purchases I made , never had to use warranty, luckily:)

I had a few lenses and cameras, used and new, that i had to send back within 4 months because something was wrong with them and was glad i had the warranty.

No, either brand new items or used ones. Non of them were refurbished. If it is a refurbished item it is mentioned on the website

The lenses were all for Nikon cameras i had. A Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6 Di VC USD, a Nikon AF-P 70-300 f/4.5-6.3G ED VR and a Nikon AF-S 55-200 f/4-5.6G VRIF-ED DX. The bodies i had to send back were a Nikon D7100 and a Nikon D7200. Also had to sen back 2 Sony a6400 which had the same problem.

Now i have the A7rii since sept last year and so far no problems at all. Also no problems with the Laowa 100mm macro lens and the Samyang 35mm f/1.8 AF lens.

Good to know now, definitely won’t switch to Nikon if I’ll ever decide to do that move. Have you sold all Nikon lenses ?

No, i still have one Nikon lens left. It did not give me any problems during the time i used it so it was allowed to stay. It is the Nikon AF-P Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR lens. It was only €49 when i bought it so not a big loss.

Definitely not big loss. Nowadays you expect to spend at least £1000 for a good glass.

Sony full frame lenses are EXPENSIVE. But a friend said why not go for the Sony FE 28-60 f/4-5.6 which comes as the kitlens with the Sony a7c. It is on sale for €299 and from what i did read it is supposed to be a good sharp little lens. Thinking about it, maybe some people here have the lens and can shine a light on its performance.

I not a Sony user so can't really comment on that. Maybe worth pointing to Andy Smith Andy Smith or C Chavezshutter

Unfortunately I am a dedicated Canon user, and have never used Sony cameras, so I can't really help out much here TMG1961.
Although, the FE 28-60 f/4-5.6 is supposed to be a great little lens, lightweight and sharp with the only downside being its all plastic except for the aluminum mount, but if you take care of your gear that shouldn't be a problem.

I don't mind it being plastic, is not a bad thing. You just have to be careful with the lens. I always try to be as careful as possible with camera and lens. The only thing that sometimes hits something is the lens cap, but that is not a problem, easy to replace if needed.

Doing a little testing with my sony 16-50 aps-c kitlens. It will have to do the job on the Sony a7rii until i find a full frame lens that ticks all the boxes for me.

Today i did a non scientific test to see if the lens is sharp enough for using on the a7rii. Took a photo of a house just outside of the coalmine near my house. The house has been restored during the last few years. Shot with the a7rii+sony 16-50 (aps-c lens) iso100, 1/250 sec, f/8, 16mm (24mm full frame equivalent), -0.7exp comp.

So the question is. Do you consider this sharp enough for using on the Sony a7rii until i find a suitable full frame lens? Would you consider this good enough for you to use? I think it is a good result. I didn't look at the composition, only goal was to find out if the lens is good enough.

I see nothing wrong with the image TMG1961, the building certainly looks sharp enough as it is. I don't think you will have any issues continuing to use this lens.

Thank you. I will use the lens on the a7rii until i find a worthy full frame replacement for it along with the 55-210 aps-c lens. Takes the pressure of from the new lens search. Now need to get some more experience in architecture/landscape photography.

I still haven't bought a lens for the Sony a7rii but i did buy a used Sony a6000 as backup camera and for using it for wildlife and airplanes and macro. The Sony a7rii will be used for landscape, architecture and also macro. Price for the Sony a6000 was €279 with under 400 clicks.
