Saltburn by the sea when the sun and shadows are working well and people are enjoying a late walking with pets and love ones on in Yorkshire. Seaside town in the summer late nights
Wonderful image that really makes me remember the late summer evenings from back when I lived in the UK.
I think personally the highlights are slightly blown out to be honest as my eyes are drawn to the overexposed cloud rather than staying focused on the people as the subject of the scene.
With the image being a lot brighter at the top, my focus is naturally drawn upwards and out of the image. Maybe try a linear gradient to darken down the sky a bit, but try not to lose the amazing yellow colours and haze over the hillside in the background.
Or better yet, try a crop about 1 inch above the background hills, this will eliminate the sky and still leave you with a wonderful image with great focus on the people.
For me, the sky is not adding anything to the image anyway, so getting rid of it by cropping the image is only adding to the power of the image really.
