Taken a few years back at Cader Idris in Wales. On my old Finepix compact.

Great subject but challenging to capture in harsh sunlight, as I find the contrast between the light and shadows to be confusing to the eye.
The highlights seem very bright on the light coloured bricks which makes it hard to look at for very long.

I agree with Andy Smith, the light is very harsh and some parts are burnt out. It would be worth going back at another time of day and with better weather conditions, as the subject and composition are excellent.

Great Subject! I agree with the other comments but maybe it some of that could be cleaned up in post.

Thanks for the critiques, sadly I don't make so many trips to Mid/North Wales and even on that trip, that afternoon had the only sunny 4 hours we got out of roughly 42 daylight hours. If I ever find myself back there and the light is less severe, I could try again. (4 hours each way) Here is a different finish.
